The project "the fish", organized by the regional authorities, is already yielding results. Every month dozens of new stores joining the project. The decrease in the number of intermediaries has a positive effect on the cost of fish production and fish in the truest sense of the word becomes available for the region's population.

Now in the framework of the project "Available to fish" the oblast has 262 retail outlets. In the beginning of the year the figure was only 160. The range of frozen fish from 6 to 11 items. Total sales volume has exceeded 2 thousand tons. Currently actively developing the necessary infrastructure for this project. To deliver the fish to the consumer the most fresh, use a special thermo containers and equipment for the manufacture of ice.

As explained by Deputy Chairman of the regional government Igor Bystrov, the project is gaining momentum every month.

"We are expanding regional project "Available fish". In retail outlets, in addition to frozen fish, there are fresh and chilled, from the six-mile zone. Another innovation concerns the product range, it expands: at below-market prices will be available invertebrates such as spiny and blue crabs, grass shrimp, and canned and cooking products", — said Igor Bystrov.
