In July, the drop in annual terms was 5.2%. The statistical service has revised its estimate of July British retail sales in mid-August, Rosstat estimated reduction of 5%. Data is changed due to clarification by the respondents to previously provided information, explains the Agency.

In August the turnover of retail trade of 92.7% was formed by trading organizations and individual entrepreneurs operating outside of the market. The share of retail markets and fairs amounted to 7.3%. In August of last year these shares amounted to 92,2% and 7.8%, respectively.

In the structure of retail trade turnover in August, the proportion of food, beverages and tobacco products, was 47.7%, the share of non-food items - 52.3 per cent in August last year at 47.6% and 52.4%, respectively).
