She noted that Leningrad region ranks first in Russia on the organization of breeding work in dairy cattle. Almost 76% of dairy cattle is breeding (in Russia this figure is 13%). In our region, there are 65 breeding – stud farm 51 and 14 loudspeakers for the breeding of dairy cattle – black pied, Ayrshire and Holstein breeds. It is expected that the milk yield of cows according to the results of 2016 will be about 8200 kg.
Michal Gelbic, Vice-Consul of the Consulate General of Czech Republic in Saint-Petersburg, the head of the Czech delegation, noted the great interest in cooperation with the specialists of the Leningrad region in the areas of plant breeding of agricultural animals.
The Czech side presented information about their companies that spetsializiruyutsya on breeding of pigs and cattle and have experience of delivery of seed in several regions of Russia.
The parties exchanged information about the state of development of breeding in the Leningrad region and the Czech Republic and expressed willingness to consider specific proposals for the supply of breeding bulls and boars.
