For the fifth time in the heart of the festival "Vivat potatoes!". Guests are traditionally received, ZAO "October", the largest in the district and region in terms of primary seed potatoes.

The festival was opened a memorial sign in honor of the workers of the fields. The ceremony was attended by the Deputy of regional Legislative Assembly Vadim Gustov, the honorary citizen of Volosovsky district, former Director of the farm "Sumino" Alexander Egorov, representatives of authorities, heads of rural settlements, agricultural production veterans, local residents.

In the program of the festival "Vivat potatoes!" was an exhibition of potato seed of high reproductions of popular varieties, a tour of potato storage, which thanks to modern technology, the tubers stored without problems until the next harvest; the fair, where they sold products of masters of national crafts, honey and, of course, potatoes.
