The first walnut orchards area of 20 hectares was planted on the edge of village of Nesterovskaya Sunzha district through private investment. The Ingush authorities have decided to allocate an additional investor territory for the extension of gardens to 170 hectares.

"In the spring of 2015 on an area of about 20 hectares was planted the first seedlings of walnut breeding varieties. To date, the area of nut orchards has already increased to 60 hectares," — said the head of the Republic Yunus-Bek Yevkurov.

The head of the Ingush noted that investor has big plans for further expansion of agriculture in the Sunzha district.

"The study of regional silgosptehnika it turned out that the climate and soil of Ingushetia are perfect for growing walnuts. Their production should be another successful component of agricultural development", — said the head of the region.

To acquire more than 2 thousand seedlings of walnut cultivars Chandler and the purchase of equipment to run lines for the split and the calibration nut with a capacity of 300 tonnes per year spent more than 4 million rubles from its own funds of a private investor Abdurrahman Medov.

The head of the Republic also said that in Ingushetia vigorously developing agriculture, growing fruits intensive Italian technology, gourds, going to a record potato crops in greenhouses are produced almost all year round vegetables.
