Telephone conversations between representatives of the Rosselkhoznadzor and veterinary services of Egypt took place on 12 January, they discussed the timing of the visit to Egypt by Russian specialists to familiarize with the methods of work of the veterinary analytical laboratories and harmonization of methods of selection and analysis of samples of meat.

"The Egyptian side has agreed to accept the Russian delegation in the period from 22 to 27 January 2017, and in the coming days to send a formal invitation. The initiative of the Rosselkhoznadzor should put an end to the recurring claims of the Supervisory authorities of Egypt to the safety of poultry meat exported from Russia", – stated in the message.

Earlier, the Ministry of agriculture of the Russian Federation reported that Russia is interested in increasing supplies of grain to Egypt and their products, poultry, beef and vegetable oils, and ready to increase imports of vegetables and fruits from Egypt.
