"Milk cartels were, and they can be identified and punished. But the milk market is highly competitive, and there if you have the opportunity to collude to milk producers, it is somewhere within the Federation. Within the whole of Russia is theoretically possible, but practically very difficult,"said Tenishev.

He stressed that such statements can in some way affect the price of milk, but their analysis is a profile management FAS.

The statement of the FAS followed after the national Union of milk producers ("Soyuzmoloko") sent a letter to the Minister of agriculture Alexander Tkachev with a warning about a possible price increase. Such fears, according to "Kommersant" with reference to the text of the letter associated with the restriction of the Rosselkhoznadzor on the import of raw milk from regions with cases of animal diseases. According to market participants, such decisions will cause shortages of supply of raw materials.
