In value terms there is a decrease by 24.5% (to 102,0 million USD), which is attributed to the lower prices for cheese products in January-October of 2016.

The main supplier of cheese/cheese-like products in Russia in 2016, was the Republic of Belarus (2.5% of import in 2013 of 14.7% in 2014, 45,4% – in 2015, 67.3 per cent – according to preliminary results 2016).

Russia continues to do the cheesy/cheese-like products from the so-called "sanctions" countries: preliminary results in 2016, the share of cheese-like products imported from such countries amounted to 27% (26.2 thousand tons in the amount of 62,2 million USD).
