Improving the efficiency of state support measures in all the sectors of agriculture, including in livestock breeding, will allow to achieve significant results in production and at least to preserve last year performance, said Dzhambulat Hatuov, opening the meeting. However, he pointed out that the priority today is the development of fundamental and applied science, the active use of the available resources and technology.

  

"We have successfully overcome the threshold of food security for most agricultural products. Meanwhile, one of the main tasks of the current year, which needs to be addressed is the formation of competitive dairy industry on the basis of realization of genetic potential," emphasized Dzhambulat Hatuov.
 

First Deputy Minister also drew attention to the need to provide agricultural producers of highly productive pedigree cattle domestic breeding, strengthening joint work with the scientific community.

In the framework of the roundtable, the participants considered issues of improvement of legislation in the sphere of turnover of breeding production, assessment of breeding value of bulls-manufacturers, certification bioproducts used in the reproduction of the herd.

According to the results of the discussions were proposals to develop livestock breeding. The possibility of practical implementation of the stated initiatives, the Director of the Department of animal husbandry and breeding Kharon Amerkhanov proposed to consider in the framework of the roadmap for the development of livestock breeding for 2017-2018. Currently, the draft roadmap developed by the relevant Department of the Ministry of agriculture.

At the completion of the roundtable, the first Deputy Minister visited the science lab Rsripa, talked with the leading experts of the Institute gave a high evaluation of their work and prospects of development of genetic potential in the livestock industry, available to the scientific Institute.

The event was attended by the heads of the Department of animal husbandry and breeding Ministry of agriculture, Rsripa, as well as representatives of agribusiness management bodies of constituent entities of the Russian Federation and tribal organizations.
