As reported by "Rosstat", the production of meat (excluding poultry) amounted to 336 thousand tons, which is 7.1% more than two months last year. The production of poultry meat increased by 2.8% to 726 thousand tons. Meat processing enterprises produced 329 thousand tons of sausage products, which is 7.5% more than in January-February last year. The production of meat products increased by 7.1% to 457 thousand tons.

Rosstat also reported that the production of fish, crustaceans and molluscs grew by 2.3%, to 667 thousand tons, sunflower oil - by 13.3% to 768 thousand tons, confectionery products - by 0.7%, to 508 thousand tons. In the dairy market, the highest rate increased the production of butter - by 6.8%, to 35.9 thousand tons. Production of cheese increased by 3.6% to 66.3 thousand tons. At the same time, milk production decreased by 0.5%, to 888 thousand tons.

According to Rosstat, cereal companies have produced 202 thousand tons of cereals, which is 2.8% more than in January-February 2016. Flour milling enterprises produced 1.23 mln tonnes of flour (7.6% less), baking - 927 thousand tons of bakery products (1.4% less). Production of mineral and drinking water decreased by 0.2% to 1,487 million bottles (0.5 liter). The tobacco factory in January-February released 33 billion cigarettes, or 25.3% less than in the corresponding period last year.
