The Ministry of agriculture proposes to expand the selection criteria for loans to small farms this was during a March 17 meeting, said the Minister Alexander Tkachev, the press service of the Ministry.

According to the plan of concessional lending, the Central regions of Russia there are 6 billion on subsidies for short-term loans.

"We are not reducing the amount of assistance is 20% more than the year before. The selection of priority areas of lending remains with the regions. Thanks to competition among banks in some regions, rates on subsidized loans reduced to 2-3%. Such a demand suggests that this tool works effectively", — said the Minister.

As the Minister said, at present 20% of the total amount available for concessional lending (RUB 21.3 billion), will focus on soft loans to small farms.

"We will expand the list of organizations falling under the definition of small farms that will allow even those regions where farmers are represented in small numbers, entirely to choose the limit", - said Alexander Tkachev.
