The agriculture Ministry plans before the end of the 2016/17 season (August-July) to consider the possibility of commodity interventions in the sugar market, said the Director of the Department for regulation of agricultural markets of the Ministry Vladimir Volik.

He said that the issue of the need for these interventions are reasonable to consider after receiving complete information on the export potential of Russia in this sphere.

"First you have to fulfill export potential. If we export worked and realized that we are all normal – then why the intervention? I would this year question be not put", — said V. Volik.
