The value of imports grew by 26.6% due to the continued higher level of world prices for cheese and curd in comparison with the beginning of 2016.

The physical volume of import of cheese was lower by 16.7% (imported 4.1 tons), and cheese – 6.6% (imported 26.7 thousand tons), including young cheeses imported 18.4% (4.9 thousand tonnes).

In January-February 2017 the total import of cheese and cottage cheese from Belarus decreased by 3.4% to 27.4 million tonnes, while the supply of cheese had decreased by 16.6% (to 4.1 thousand tons), cheeses – on 0,6% (23.3 thousand tonnes).
