As reported lenta.ru the cost of cocoa has risen by 4.4% after it became known about failure of negotiations between rebels and the local armed forces.

The problem which arose in January of this year, because of the size of salaries and bonuses of soldiers, not solved until now. The conflict between the rebels and the command spread from the country's capital of Abidjan for the second largest city of bouaké, which is the center of trade of cocoa beans.

Naturally, the armed clashes, which have grown the original conflict, excited buyers of cocoa and confectioners, concerned about possible shortages, followed by rose and the plague the price of the product.
