Several Russian manufacturers of cheese are trying to challenge the decision of Rospatent to produce the cheese under the trademark "Adyghe Cheese" only in the territory of Adygea.

As described in the company "Umalat" (Bryansk region), the producers on the eve asked the court for intellectual property rights with a request to recognize the action illegal, but there came to the defense of patent service. The Department stated that the product is prepared according to a unique recipe, which uses milk from local cows. However, the cheese makers explain that the cheese does not differ in properties that may not be suitable for its production in other regions.
