According to the Center monitoring system of fishery and communications of 15 may, the total catch of fish and other aquatic bioresources by Russian users amounted to more than 1.8 million tonnes, which is 58,5 thousand tons (+ 3.2 percent) above last year's level.

Total catch of fish and other aquatic bioresources in the far East basin amounted to 1.3 million tons (+60,9 thousand tons to the level of last year). Increased catches of herring and crabs in the Okhotsk sea, cod and plaice in the Bering sea.

In other basins, the numbers are a little lower. In the Baltic sea resulted in a decrease in catch of 0.5%. However, the fishery sprat catch amounted to 24 thousand tons, which is more than last year by 2.6 thousand tons.

In the Northern basin, the total catch was of 219.1 thousand tons, which is less than last year due to unfavourable hydrological conditions, adverse weather conditions and changes in prey base.

In the Azov-black sea basin the total catch of fish and other aquatic biological resources amounted to 41.9 thousand tonnes, less than last year by 2.4 thousand tons. In the pool increased the catch of anchovy to 27.4 million tonnes (2.4 tons).

In the Caspian basin total catch amounted to 17.1 thousand tons.

Increased development of quotas of catch of fish in foreign zones. According to 15 may, the production amounted to 175,4 thousand tons more than last year by 18.9 thousand tonnes, mainly due to fishing in the area of Morocco.
