According to the explanatory notes of the Central Bank, "there was the expected slight increase in food inflation associated with the exhaustion of the accumulated stocks of fruits and vegetables". This was accompanied by the acceleration of the monthly growth of consumer prices. However, according to the Bank of Russia, the level of increase does not preclude the achievement of the inflation target of 4%.

General inflation is not expected, despite some improvement in the annual pace of price growth
for food in the coming months.
