Currently Russia has almost completely abandoned the import of apples thanks to technology, long-term storage of products, announced the Minister of industry and trade Denis Manturov during a speech at the government hour in the state Duma.

"Not long ago, I was in Ingushetia, there are colleagues who grow apples, has built a logistics centre for the storage of apples... the Crop was harvested in September-October 2016, we could try apples, which persist to this day. There is a special technology in the Soviet times, it was impossible to imagine, so we practically have refused to import this item", — said the Russian Minister.
