The Memorandum envisages joint work of the parties in attracting investments in the agrarian sector of economy of Russia. Fixed the intention of improving the efficiency of Russian agriculture, the development of the export potential of Russia and the policy of import substitution and adaptation of advanced foreign technologies in the agricultural sector of the economy.

At the ceremony of signing the agreement, Minister of agriculture of Russia Alexander Tkachev said that attracting investment in agriculture is today one of the priority tasks of the Russian agrarian policy.

"Thanks to the state support of agriculture investors are increasingly showing interest in dairy and beef cattle breeding, vegetable and fruit production, despite the long payback period of investment", — said Alexander Tkachev.

The agriculture Minister added that thanks to the joint work with the FUND in the framework of cooperation of Russia and Israel in the field of agriculture, the projects will be implemented on dairy production. In addition, the Ministry of agriculture jointly with the Russian direct investment FUND is forming a list of projects that are possible to implement with the participation of Qatar.
