"Departments of veterinary science and animal husbandry of the Ministry of agriculture of Russia together with the Rosselkhoznadzor and representatives of professional associations of breeders are working on the preparation of Rules of identification of animals", — he said.

This document will concern many, including pet owners, said the Deputy head of the veterinary Department.

"In this activity we (Russia – ed.) behind, not only from those countries which are called developed, but all our neighbours in the EEC. From these two circumstances, it follows that the document is very necessary and very important, so it needs to be adopted, and adopted with wide discussion and considering the views of various people and organizations", — said Nikolai Vlasov.
