In the first quarter of this year import of condensed milk in Russia increased by 75.9% and amounted to 9.5 thousand tons. Just the import structure of milk powder and condensed milk and cream condensed milk is 17%, follows from the analytical report MilkNews.

In addition, imports of milk powder and condensed milk and cream in Russia in I quarter of 2017 continued to increase and amounted, according to preliminary data, 56,9 thousand tons (+27,5% compared to 2016), including COM – 29,0 thousand tons (+11.5 per cent), milk powder of 1.5 – 27% of the Doc. (mainly CMS) – 11.1 thousand tons (+16,8%).

The main supplier of dried and condensed milk and cream on the territory of our country, despite the decline, remains Belarus (70% in the first quarter of 2017). Turkey remains second in the ranking of countries-suppliers of powdered and condensed milk and cream, providing 8% of the supply; Uruguay took the 3rd place (5%) and New Zealand (5%) and Argentina (4%) rounded out the top 5.
