Research holding "ROMIR" has recorded a price increase and consumption of coffee, milk, bottled water and chocolate included in the index "Coffee with milk", 1.7% to 947 p. p. the index reflects the change in the economic confidence of Russians.

"...the value of KSM in the last month of spring reached 947 p. p., which is 1.7% more than April values, and four times exceeds the size of the official inflation rate of 0.4%," according to "ROMIR".

Compared to may, 2016 the index increased by 5.5%, also ahead of annual inflation at 1.4 p. p.

The greatest influence on the increase in the index had a coffee, the consumption of which has increased, despite the increase in retail prices.

"Confident growth in the whole country, the index is obliged coffee which was bought more even at a raised price. But in Moscow the growth was secured largely increased purchases of chocolate. Coffee also contributed to the monthly increase," – noted in the study.

Index "Coffee with milk" is calculated based on the Skan-panel of households and takes into account the dynamics of prices and consumption of four products: coffee, milk, bottled water and chocolate.
