The head of the Ministry Alexander Tkachev, after the meeting of the intergovernmental mixed Russian-Moroccan Commission on economic and scientific-technical cooperation have expressed interest in the supply of a number of Russian products on the Moroccan market.

"Traditionally, we sell a Morocco grain. We would like to enter the Moroccan market with meat and dairy products. There may also be a vegetable oil", — said Tkachev.

Morocco traditionally exports to Russia citrus, particularly tangerines, and during the meeting they discussed the possibility of expanding their supply. "Today we talked about expanding the supply, because we are satisfied with the quality and price", — said Tkachev.

In addition, the meeting discussed the issue of creating a "green corridor" for the supply of agricultural products for a simplified procedure of customs and phytosanitary clearance. "Today we talked about removing barriers, "green corridor". This, of course, will greatly improve our trade and economic status and (increase – ed.) the volumes of export and import", — said Tkachev.

According to the agriculture Ministry, Russia imports 750 thousand tons of mandarins per year, in Morocco accounts for a quarter of imports of 200 thousand tons (27%).
