18 July 2017 Director of international cooperation Department of the Ministry of agriculture of Russia Olga Garshina held a working meeting with the Secretary of the Ministry of agriculture of Bangladesh with the rank of 1st Deputy Minister, Mr. om Mohammad Abdullah Moinuddin. They discussed issues of expansion of mutual deliveries of agricultural products and foodstuffs to the markets of the two countries to increase the Russian-Bangladeshi trade turnover in the agricultural sector, as well as the conditions of access of these products on the Russian and Bangladeshi markets.

Russia and Bangladesh are actively cooperating in the field of trade and agriculture. Russian exporters are interested in the implementation of the supply of grain, beef, mutton, poultry meat and finished meat products to the territory of the people's Republic of Bangladesh. Representatives of foreign delegations voiced an interest in supplies from Russia not only crops, but also the potash and phosphate fertilisers that are a priority of Russian goods to the Bangladeshi side.

The expansion of bilateral cooperation in the field of agriculture will bring the Russian-Bangladeshi interaction in the agricultural sector to a qualitatively new level.
