Today the Rosselkhoznadzor permits only the direct supply of horticultural and other products from the Republic of Benin and prohibits them through third countries, said the Supervisory Agency.

The reason was the resumption of the African country complex routes of supply of vegetables and fruit through Belarus and the EU. The examples are leeks, cabbage, lettuce, tomatoes, arugula, pears, peaches and nectarines.

Earlier, Rosselkhoznadzor, held talks on this subject with the head of Department of crop production Ministry of agriculture of the Republic by Mr. R. will Sogamoso. The representative of the Ministry could not explain the formation of production volumes of the mentioned products on the territory of the Republic and sources of its exports to Russia, the countries of the EEU and the European Union. But officials promised to soon provide data about the assortment, volumes of production and exports of all fruits and vegetables.
