Area of sugar beet in Kursk region in the current year, brought up to 117.8 thousand hectares, which exceeds last year's figure by 2%, the press service of the regional administration.

To date, dig root crops on the area about 3 thousand hectares in 14 districts of the region.

The most harvested are concentrated in Fatezhsky area of 9.1 thousand hectares, Letters - 8.9 thousand hectares, Cheremisinovskogo - 7.8 thousand hectares, Rylsky and Lgov - 6.9 thousand ha, Manturovskiy - 6.8 thousand hectares, said the press service.
