According to Rosstat, in the first half sales of confectionery products increased by 4.7% to 468,6 billion.

In 2017, the cost of buying sweets in average per person will be about 7 thousand rubles, or about 19.2 EUR per person / day. The leaders in spending on sweets are Moscow residents (39.8 rubles a day per person), Central FD (26.2 rubles a day per person) and Saint Petersburg (20.5 rubles a day per person). Less pastry spend the residents of the southern Federal district, including the Republic of Crimea, 11.4 rubles a day per person.

It is noted that in Russia a year per person, on average, 24 kg of confectionery products in the structure of consumption is dominated by pastry and 11.4 kg per year per person.

"The consumption of confectionery in Russia remains at a relatively low level.
