"The priority is to develop food direction, we'll run through the Internet food. It is a priority for us," he said.

The President of "Auchan Russia Retail" françois Remy noted that the company is assessing the conditions to start online sales. "We are studying the conditions in which we can start selling food products via the Internet, it will require some time. The online store will work on the model of home delivery, and on the model order and pickup from store shelves," he added, noting that the first time the store will be aimed at home delivery. First of all, Internet sales will start to spread in Moscow.

According to Remy, we have already started selling some groceries.

In addition, representatives of "Auchan" said that the company will continue to develop in Russia hypermarkets, but will focus on the development of format stores "at home".

The company Auchan opened its first store in Russia in 2002. Now under the management of the company in Russia are 305 stores of all formats, including hypermarkets, supermarkets and convenience stores format "at home".
