The total monthly volume of such imports into the EU from third countries amounted to 9.1 billion Euro, up by 2.4%, or 211 million euros. In annual terms since September last year to August of the current - value of such imports from Ukraine rose by approximately 12%, or 543 million euros, amounting to almost EUR 5 billion.

The total cost of such imports into the EU from third countries for the same period amounted to 117.3 billion euros, a rise of 4%, or 4.5 billion euros.

Ukraine is the sixth largest source of imports into the EU of agricultural and food products (at the annual rate of its value), behind Brazil, USA, Argentina, China and Indonesia.
