According to the Ministry of agriculture of the region, the company plans to start production of natural fruit pastes on the basis of applesauce from local raw materials.

Note, this year gross harvest of fruits and berries in the commodity-producing farms was 619 tons, more than 2.5 times higher than last year. While the region continues the development of industrial horticulture: at present the total area of fruit and berry plantations is 811 hectares, in accordance with the development program of gardening and their total area exceeds one thousand acres.

The volume of production at the enterprise is projected at up to 140 tons per month. In this case the manufacturer intends within five years to expand the range to 30 positions.

In the second phase of the project is expected to create a cooperative with the Kaliningrad gardeners for making fruit purees including for baby food.

The investment volume is estimated almost in 200 million rubles.

"In the Kaliningrad region is dynamically developing industrial gardening. Today, we need to get to a new level – to develop the deep processing of fruits and berries. The region has already started manufacture from local raw materials, a new, promising direction could be the production of pastes and fruit puree," said Minister of agriculture of the region Natalia Shevtsova.
