The Ministry of agriculture of the Russian Federation on 15 December took place the all-Russian session "On results of agribusiness development in 2017 and goals for 2018", chaired by the head of the Federal agricultural Department Alexander Tkachev.

The head of the Ministry of agriculture announced the preliminary results of the year in the agricultural sector of the country, noting that 2017 was yet another stage of dynamic development of the industry. So, at the end of the year, the growth in agriculture will amount to about 3%, primarily due to the record grain harvest and preservation of growth rates in farming at 4%.

- Expected to 130.5 million tons of grain - this is an absolute record not only modern, but in Soviet Russia, – said Alexander Tkachev.

The head of the Federal Ministry of agriculture has also drawn attention to the fact that Russia came in first place in the world in wheat exports, President Vladimir Putin called brilliant result the previous day during the press conference.

In addition, Alexander Tkachev thanked the heads of regions and heads of regional administrations APK for fruitful and extensive work done this year, and presented departmental awards to the most efficient in agribusiness in the regions.

So, for merits in agriculture, active social work and many years of fruitful work was awarded a gold medal "For contribution into development of agroindustrial complex of Russia" the first Deputy of the Rostov region Victor Goncharov.

For the don region, the agricultural record of the expiring 2017 especially roads, as the Rostov region became this year the first harvest of early grain crops, and as a result, the wheat crop in the Russian Federation, - said the first Deputy of the don Governor Victor Goncharov. - We're going to record characteristics and grain exports. In addition Donskoy region and the leaders in the production of eggs, meat ducks and turkeys, as well as in the production and export of oil.
