These trends were revealed in an annual report, based on in-depth survey of 100 local traders, supplying Covent garden. Hit of the year can also become giant lemons, whose pulp is used in cooking.

In 2017, the greatest demand was for cabbage of all varieties. In the second place berries grown in the UK (raspberry gold color, white and green strawberry, pink blueberries). In third place is the sweet potato and tomatoes.

It is expected that the growth of plant products in 2018 will encourage the fashion for vegetarian food and organic products.
