The authorities of Yakutia will direct more than 1 billion rubles for the development of traditional industries of the North in 2018, from them 700 million roubles on the development of reindeer herding. On Tuesday I reported a press-service of head and government of Yakutia.

In particular, more than 700 million rubles will be spent on preserving the Northern domestic reindeer. According to the state Committee on the Arctic in Yakutia, reindeer herding is practiced 106 households and tribal communities, the industry employed 1792 people. According to the authorities, in Yakutia contain more than 150 thousand deer.

In addition, to increase the volume of the catch of commercial fish, commercial fish farming in 2018 in the state budget provided 86 million rubles.
