German chemical group Bayer has addressed in Arbitration court of Moscow with the claim about recognition illegal decisions of Federal Antimonopoly service (FAS) of Russia. The case is present in the files of the court, its details are not known, the date of the lawsuit has not yet been appointed.
The head of FAS Igor Artemyev confirmed the appeal in Bayer, the court, speaking before the deputies of the state Duma. He explained that the German company expects to merge with the American biotechnology company Monsanto. FAS requires Bayer to transfer a significant part of the technologies to the domestic agricultural industry, then the competition authority will agree on the Russian part of the transaction.
We are talking about technology transfer in the field of selection and access to databases in the field of digital agriculture, Artemyev said. This will prevent the restriction of competition on the Russian market.
According to him, Bayer is ready to withdraw from the transaction on the territory of Russia and does curtail activities in the country. FAS hopes to win the German company in court, as before won Google, Apple and others, he said.
German concern must enlist the support not only of the Russian Antimonopoly service, but also to similar agencies of other BRICS countries, Europe, USA and Canada.
