"To ensure sustainable livestock production, the need to reduce costs. This is possible due to reproduction of animals, and one of the new solutions, which we plan to implement in the Amur region - embryo transplantation, which allows to obtain offspring of a given sex: if a dairy animal, this calf, if beef bulls," said TASS Tikhonchuk.

According to the interlocutor of the Agency, when using this technology, the agricultural enterprises can create a breeding herd for three years.

"Far Eastern agrarian University can assist agricultural enterprises on the implementation of this technology. Our technicians went to training in Lipetsk. If the production will be implemented, we will become the first in the far East and Siberia, who uses this technology," said Tikhonchuk.

He also noted that the purchase of the embryos will pass through farms, however, the measures of state support are not excluded. "Perhaps there will be measures of state support - allocation of funds from Federal and local budgets for transplantation of embryos" he said.
