The complex breeding of elite species of fish and processing of fishery products will start in shchuchanskiy district of Kurgan region in the II quarter of 2018. This is the first such project in the region, the opening of the complex will allow at least doubling the volume of farmed fish, said on Wednesday, TASS Director of the regional Department of agriculture Sergey Pugin.

"We plan to open this complex during the second quarter of 2018. Kurgan oblast is one of leaders in Russia on commodity culture, we provide almost a third of Russian exports volume silovym breeds. In parallel with the white fishes with the opening of the complex we go to the more commercial production of valuable fish species, " said Pugin.

According to him, the region has always lacked a private fish stocking material, it had to be bought outside the region. "The opening of this plant will only grow valuable species of fish and processing, to realize of them quality and useful products, but also play their own fish seed, that is, to grow fingerlings, which are then grown by placing commodity in reservoirs", - said the Agency interlocutor, adding that the introduction of the complex into operation will allow at least doubling the volume of farmed fish.

The owner of a fish processing complex, the head of the farm, Alexander Petrov in 2015, received one of the largest grants in agricultural sphere of the Kurgan region in the amount of 8.5 million rubles, which acquired the equipment. The goal of the entrepreneur is to create a common enterprise with the technology of the closed cycle, from the receipt of eggs and rearing of fry to packaging of finished fish products.

"We will ensure farmers and the fishing industry of the region larvae of whitefish, herbivorous - carp, white Amur, and also sturgeon. Also the complex is planned to feed plant to make its food," said Petrov in an interview with TASS.

It is expected that in 2018 will launch a fish shop and 10-15% of the capacity will start to work processing plant. The launch of the enterprise at full capacity is planned for 2020. At the initial stage will create up to 40 jobs. "We have a number of two villages in Kosulino and Beloyarka, volunteers from these villages and will work, even now ask," said Petrov, adding that in parallel open branches in Shadrinska and Shumikhinskiy the areas of the Kurgan region.
