The deputies of the region at regular session has accepted in the first reading the regional law "About development of animal husbandry and livestock production on the territory of Krasnodar Krai". According to the Chairman of the AP is the only country to date, regulatory legal act, regulating animal breeding.

Burlachko recalled that in his address to the Federal Assembly, President Vladimir Putin set the task to increase export of meat products to increase the country's self-sufficiency in meat, milk, vegetables.

"Everything necessary for the set task by the President to implement, we have. And our law on animal husbandry, we hope this will help," said Burlachko.

As explained by Deputy ZS, the Chairman of the Committee on development of agriculture and food Alexander Trubilin, "the document will provide aid to the industry and thereby lay the basis for improving the meat and milk production in farms of all forms."

"In the last period for the livestock industry in the Kuban region is unfavorable conditions. The attention of investors is much more appealing crop. We accept the law, which aims to reverse the situation, to create new opportunities for livestock producers. We need to recover in order to reach the level of the early 90-ies. This industry must create special conditions. The farming should be another growth point of the economy of the region", – commented on Burlachko.

According to the AP, today the region produces agricultural products more than 412 billion rubles, while the share of crop production accounts for 75%, and livestock – 25%. According to deputies, the bill is intended to rectify the existing imbalance. It aims at creating conditions of effective development of livestock in the territory: the increase of population, market saturation with quality livestock products, meeting the needs of the population with domestic production, a more complete capacity utilization of processing plants.

It is noted that the MPs again to discuss the law in detail during the parliamentary hearings in April.
