In 2015, the company Christiaens Group together with Interagro has signed several agreements on the construction of fungal complexes of a full cycle, and in 2017 opened production in Kursk ("Mushroom rainbow") and Krasnodar region ("thunder" and "Russian Mushroom").

According to the company, the mushroom production in Russia in 2015 has increased by almost two times. By the end of 2017 the volume of production was equal to 20 thousand tons. According to the forecasts of "Interagro" in 2018, this figure may increase up to 55 thousand tons. This takes into account the real volumes that producers will be willing to ship to the store shelves. The production capacity will grow by 25-35% after the phase-out maximum production capacity of construction systems.

The increase in 2017 compared with 2016, according to Rosstat 66.2%. Among the regions in the production of mushrooms is the leader of the Central Federal district (7 779 tons; +108% compared to year 2016). A large proportion of this falls on the Moscow region – 5 587 tonnes. Kursk oblast was supplied to the Russian market 1 722 thousand tons.

Second place among the regions - producers occupies the southern Federal district where grown 5 233 thousand tons of mushrooms. Of these, 1 771 thousand tons were collected in the Krasnodar region. In third place in the Volga Federal district - 3 021 thousand tons. Followed by the North-West Federal district 2 609 thousand tons.
