"Are believed to be reasonable prognostic indicators for the index of production of agricultural products (farms of all categories) in 2018, compared to their level in 2017, depending on the prevailing economic situation and weather conditions in the amount of 100-101%", - the document says. National report approved by the decree of the RF government dated 28 April, which released on Friday.

"Under favorable economic and weather conditions forecast the growth of agricultural products may be higher," - says the Ministry of agriculture. In 2017 the volume of production of agriculture in Russia increased by 2.4%. The Minister of agriculture of the Russian Federation Alexander Tkachev in April said that Russia this year intends to maintain the growth rate of agricultural production.

The Ministry in the national report indicates that, given the climatic and economic risks and projected dynamics of grain prices on the world market, the volume of crop production in comparable prices in 2018 will be estimated 2017 or 0.5% higher.

Livestock is projected to increase production by 1.5% and 1.7%. In particular, the growth of the corporate sector in dairy sub-sector, the increase in commissioning of new, reconstructed and modernized dairy farming while maintaining the population and productivity of cattle, will increase production of raw milk in 2018 to a level of 31.3 million tons (0.6% more than in 2017).

Thus the development of livestock industries, e.g., poultry and pork is influenced by factors related to limited export opportunities, as well as the slow recovery of consumer demand. The main problem of restrictions of access to foreign markets for some products is the presence of stringent requirements on veterinary documentation for export.
