Specialists of the Rosselkhoznadzor administration for the Voronezh region killed about 11 tons of fat, which tried to smuggle into Russia from Ukraine, told TASS Deputy head of the regional Department of the Rosselkhoznadzor Alexey Arkhipov.

"Specialists of the Rosselkhoznadzor administration for the Voronezh region killed about 11 tons of fat from Ukraine to the vetsanutil Gremyachenskoe. This year a large amount of fat from Ukraine destroyed for the first time. Ukraine almost all products are prohibited to import by the presidential decree about counter-sanctions," - said Arkhipov.

According to authorities, the owner of the fat for trying to import the Protocol on an administrative offense under article 10.6 of the administrative code "Violation of rules of quarantine of animal or other veterinarno-sanitary rules."

As added in Department, may 7, employees of regional office of Rosselkhoznadzor jointly with border guards and police during the search of the car at the border with Ukraine in the Rossosh district of Voronezh region found in body bags with pork fat weighing 10975 kg.

"Since these products are prohibited for import to the territory of the Russian Federation on the basis of the decree of the President, the acts were developed: first, the fact of withdrawal of the fat later on their destruction," - said Arkhipov.
