The Ministry of agriculture appreciates the policy of the Sverdlovsk region for the development of agricultural potential. This was stated by first Deputy Minister of agriculture of Russia Dzhambulat Hatuov, who on 11 may was on a working visit to Yekaterinburg.

"Your region is one of the leading in the country for industrial development. But you also have a great agricultural potential in the strategy of development of cattle breeding and crop production. Today we highly appreciate the policy of Governor Evgeny Vladimirovich Kuyvashev to support agriculture. You know, not many regions have the groundwork in agriculture, which has the Sverdlovsk region", — said Dzhambulat Hatuov.

Dzhambulat Hatuov together with the acting Governor of the Sverdlovsk region Alexey Orlov took part in the interregional agroindustrial forum on the development of farming in the Urals. It was attended by over 300 representatives of the heads of regional agricultural administrative bodies and municipalities, representatives of agricultural consumer cooperatives and processing enterprises and peasant (farmer) farms.

"The result of today's meeting in the near future will be expressed in the grants, in their greater volume, and it is very important to every working and aspiring farmer had the opportunity to obtain measures of state support", — said the first Deputy head of the Ministry of agriculture.

According to Alexei Orlov, in 2018 in support of agriculture allocated more than 4 billion rubles, including from the regional budget of 3.3 billion rubles. Funds are used for compensation of interest rates on credits taken by farmers for the purchase of equipment, organization of seed, livestock, etc.

The forum participants visited the facilities of AIC in Sverdlovsk region — JSC "Greenhouse" and a farm for breeding goats in the village Garden. Both enterprises are included into group "UMMC-agro".

"We plan to conduct a sustained state support and to pay special attention to the development of agriculture in the Urals. Ural Federal district has all opportunities to feed yourself high-quality and environmentally friendly products," — said Dzhambulat Hatuov.
