More than 52 million roubles have been budgeted in regional budgets in 2018 on the fight against plant pests. About this TASS according to the Ministry.

"The agriculture Ministry annually recommends to the regional agricultural administrative bodies to be reserved in the regional budget funds for activities to protect crops from dangerous pests, including locust, and also send the preliminary plan treatments and calculate the cost of protective measures. <...> In 2018 against particularly dangerous plant pests in the regional budgets is reserved, according to preliminary data, 52,26 million rubles", - reported in the Ministry of agriculture, did not elaborate on what regions are being referred to.

The Ministry also noted that in order to protect agricultural land from pests are two focal points created by the Ministry of agriculture in Stavropol Krai and Kalmykia, where there is the most difficult situation with the spread of locusts.

The Ministry said that as of 21 may, the pests found over an area of 250 hectares and a state of emergency locust introduced in several districts of the Stavropol region. In some regions of Kalmykia introduced the mode of increased readiness for the prevention and liquidation of emergency situations.

The results of phytosanitary monitoring in 2018, will carry protective measures against locusts in 11 regions of Russia in the square 841,1 thousand hectares, said the Ministry of agriculture.
