OJSC "Pskov city milk factory" intends to invest about 3 billion rubles in the development of dairy farming in Pskov region, said on Wednesday, TASS, the head of the regional Department of agriculture and state technical supervision of Nicholas Romanov.

"Pskov milk factory bought 10 hectares of land in two districts - Dedovichi and Dnovsky. This year, the investor starts work in the fields and thousands of acres will begin processing. They have plans to introduce two farm for 3 thousand heads each, it will be for two years, the volume of investments - 3 billion rubles, together with the technique. Both sites will give us an increase in production of nearly 50 thousand tons of milk a year, which is very much, as we are now in the field produced about 160 thousand tons of milk a year," said Romanov.

"The Pskov city milk factory" - one of the largest enterprises of the dairy industry in the Pskov region. It was founded in 1956. The plant is a highly mechanised production with the volume of milk processing 110 tons per shift. The company is equipped with modern equipment of domestic, Swedish, German and Israeli production.
