The forum was organized by the Federation Council Committee on agrarian and food policy and environmental management, together with the Russian youth public organization "Russian Union of rural youth" with the support of the Ministry of agriculture of the Russian Federation and the Public chamber of the Russian Federation.

The main purpose of the forum is to attract the attention of the authorities and the public to proactive activities of rural youth and support cutting edge initiatives for socio-economic revival of the Russian village, modernization of agriculture and improve the quality of life of the villagers.

The event will be held at two venues – in the Public chamber of the Russian Federation and the Federation Council. The forum program includes round tables, discussion platforms, master classes and other formats work.

The forum will summarize the results of the national competition of best practices in prospectively-oriented development of rural settlements "Village of the 21st century" and will take place the exhibition of achievements of the winners.

The Central event will be a plenary session on the theme of "Spatial development of Russia: potential of rural settlements".

Participation is open to young heads of administrations and deputies of rural settlements, leaders of public associations and other villagers who are actively involved in development of rural areas. Number of participants – up to 200 people.

"We believe that it is impossible to prevent our villages, small towns, "dropped out" of the agenda of spatial development of Russia. Need to develop effective mechanisms of realization of the potential of rural areas in the spatial development of the country," said Julia Ogloblina, the Chairman of the RSSM.

The forum participants will be acquainted with the best practices and achievements in the field of rural development and to establish a constructive dialogue with representatives of local authorities, leaders of public associations in the village. "We want this forum was really useful for the participants, therefore, invited to participate in the event of potential investors interested in business development in rural areas, and are planning to organize a platform for meeting and negotiating with heads of local authorities", - said Sergey Karahasan.

For the participants of the forum will include accommodation and meals by the organizers.
