On the agenda of the meeting of the Expert Council had a number of issues relating to the protection of the market against counterfeit products. So, Council members discussed the introduction of legislative framework the term "geographical appellation of origin". The law was passed by the State Duma in the first reading is relatively recent, however already now experts see the positive impact on the process of cleaning up the market from unscrupulous manufacturers. Along with this, it was about tightening the requirements for the production of products marked with GOST.

"Today, we see that the name of products, manufactured according to GOST, is not always used correctly, says the new member of the expert Council, head of the "CMCR" Eugene Levitsky. Some manufacturers strictly adhere to the requirements of the state standard regarding the name of the product and its composition, others use only the name of a famous brand, thus departing from requirements on the composition of the product. This should not be. If the consumer sees on the label means the name Gastropanel products, he must be sure that the product from beginning to end is produced according to state standard. For us it is a very important topic as we encounter it in the sphere of turnover of bottled mineral water "Essentuki №4" and "Essentuki №17". Obviously, this requires a serious improvement of the legal framework for protecting not only the interests of consumers, but also the interests of bona fide producers. It is very important that such issues are discussed at such experts.

JSC "Kavminkurortresursy", as the largest subsoil user of the region of Caucasian Mineral Waters, interested in the fact that under the guise of the world famous mineral waters the consumer did not offer counterfeit products. We look forward to cooperate with the International Association of "Anticounterfeiting", now as members of the expert Council under the state Commission to counter illegal turnover of industrial products.
