As noted by Maxim Uvidav, as of January 29, FMD was registered in the territory of two subjects of the Russian Federation in the Primorsky and Khabarovsk territories. The most acute situation on the incidence recorded in the Primorsky Krai, where it was 6 disadvantaged areas for FMD in the Mikhailovsky and Spassky, Oktyabrsky districts and the Ussuri urban district. In the Khabarovsk territory recorded 1 dysfunctional item in the Khabarovsk district.

The meeting was worked out a phased plan of activities necessary for recovery of the epizootic well-being. To eliminate foci of disease in the Primorsky region, the agriculture Ministry decided to allocate additional volumes of vaccines against foot and mouth disease. Regions in which there is a threat of introduction of this disease, it is recommended to take urgent measures to improve biological security of livestock farms and to strengthen control to prevent illegal movement of animals and animal products.

Maxim Avidov drew attention to the importance of immediate action for the elimination of measles and urged all services to collaborative and coordinated operational action. The coordination complex of antiepizootic measures on disadvantaged territories carries out the Ministry of agriculture.

Annually to prevent foot and mouth disease in 31 constituent entities of the Russian Federation conducted preventive immunization of animals against FMD. In the buffer zone vaccination is subjected to about 5 million head of cattle (25% of the total population in Russia) and more than 10 million heads of small cattle (35% of population), which allows to stabilize the epizootic situation in this disease. Supply of FMD vaccines produced in the constituent entities of the Russian Federation at the expense of means of the Federal budget.
