In the farms of the Rostov region the number of pigs decreased by 10.5%. By the beginning of March 2019 in the region, there were 378,5 thousand heads of these farm animals, according to Roscomstat.
According to territorial body of state statistics, the growth rate in January-February 2018 totalled 89.5%.
In the Rostov region has also decreased the number of sheep and goats, 1.2 million head, or 96.5% March 1, 2018.
Meanwhile the number of cattle increased to 609,8 thousand heads, which is 102,1% to 2018. In particular, the number of cows increased to 297,4 thousand heads (102,5% to March 1, 2018).
