In the Kaliningrad region Hogweed Sosnowski clogged 1,5 thousand hectares of land, of which 860 hectares of agricultural land, 499 hectares of urban land, and 125 acres of right of way of roads. Such data today, March 26, was presented at the meetings of the regional agriculture Minister Natalia Shevtsova, first Deputy Prosecutor Pavel Belyakov, reports a press-service of the Kaliningrad region government.

It is noted that the growth of the weed still accounts for less than one percent of the total area of the region, however, given its danger and toxicity, the decision of additional measures on struggle with weed.

For this regional Ministry and the Prosecutor's office intend to hold a number of joint activities. In particular, there will be an inventory of land that are overgrown with Hogweed. In the case of a violation of the law by the owners, will be taken prosecutorial response.
