"Developed by the Ministry of agriculture of Russia the system of state control and supervision over quality and safety in sphere of turnover of grain and products of its processing is aimed at improving the quality of grain on the domestic market," - noted in the Ministry. At the moment, according to the law, the state controls only the safety of grain and its quality - the producers themselves, explained in a press-Department service.

Earlier, the Ministry of agriculture has posted notice of the preparation of the draft normative act on the state control of grain quality on the Federal portal of projects of normative legal acts. Until April 24 will be a collection of proposals, then the Ministry of agriculture will begin to develop the measures, said the Agency.

Meanwhile, representatives of the agricultural sector also offered to strengthen control over the quality of vegetables, especially given a possible increase in imports. "Today, most of the imported fruit and vegetable products is questionable from the point of view of food security. We are convinced that this is important for the health of our citizens, the question must be brought under control," - said the President of the Association "Greenhouses of Russia" Alexey Sitnikov.

In particular, the quota for the import of Turkish tomatoes to Russia three times proposed by the Ministry of agriculture, should be accompanied by the introduction of mandatory inspection of foreign suppliers of fruits and vegetables, said the representative of the industry. "While in Russia allowed the supply of all foreign agricultural products, the last of the border phytosanitary control. However, this does not give any warranties regarding the security used for the cultivation of vegetable substances, as well as compliance storage", - he explained.
