The Chinese authorities announced the adoption of provisional anti-dumping measures against imports from the EU, the Republic of Korea, USA, Thailand and Japan phenol (phenyl alcohol), informs TASS.
As reported by the Ministry of Commerce of China, these measures shall enter into force on 27 may 2019.
In a statement the Agency said that imports of phenol from the five countries and regions was carried out on the Chinese market at low prices, the result of which caused considerable damage to the industry in China. In this regard, it was decided to impose temporary anti-dumping measures for this type of product.
It is reported that the fees range from 11.9% to 129,6% and will be determined for each particular company in accordance with the dumping margin of the manufacturer.
Anti-dumping investigation concerning imports of phenol from the EU, the Republic of Korea, USA, Thailand and Japan was initiated in March 2018.
